Meet our 2021-2022 Region 16 Youth Director!
Region 16 is pleased to announce Kiki Basta as the 2021-2022 Youth Director! Kiki is a friendly face at local, regional, and national shows and well-known for her quick smile and enthusiasm for all things equine – especially the Arabian horse!Kiki has been showing Arabians since 2014 under the tutelage of Jennifer Jelich at Jelich Farms LLC in Massachusetts.
She says, “I own two Half-Arabians, Exxhilaration and Smug and Superior, who I show equitation, hunter pleasure, and sport horse under saddle. I can’t wait for the upcoming year!” In addition to her accolades in the show ring, Kiki is president of Jelich’s leadership team and a great role model to the younger equestrians at the farm.
That experience will serve her well as she looks to organize activities to get Region 16 youth members involved. Sloane Roncaioli, Region 16 Youth Coordinator, will assist with the coordination of youth activities. Youth interested in being involved should send an email to region16youth@gmail.com.
